Bartop Arcade Machine Flat Packs

Posted by Austin Amusements on

We now have Bartop Arcade Machine available as wood only flat packs, DIY complete kits or as complete ready built machines.

Recently we have had a lot of customers asking where to get a flat pack arcade machine from or a cabinet made.

Well if you are after a Bartop DIY flat pack they are now in stock at Austin Amusements and more machine types will come at a later date, watch this space!

Our flat packs are designed for easy assembly with the use of limited tools.

Watch our youtube video, our flat packs can be assembled in no time at all.

These are brand new at Austin Amusements so please contact us for more details.

Our flat packs are professionally CNC cut right here in Australian. Designed to easily slot together for quick assemble.

Three ways to assemble these cabinets:

1) The cabinet comes with pre-cut locator tabs which slot in place and only requires glue and a large pair of F clamps to hold the machine together tightly while the glue is drying (the pre-cut tabs are a tight fit and the cabinet stays together without glue but it would not be recommended to leave it this way).

If you don't have F clamps, no problem.

2) You can also add glue, place all pieces together with glue in the slots. Add weight to the top piece of the cabinet and let the glue dry. Once the glue is dry, add small L type brackets (not essential). Screw the brackets in place for extra support and too firmly hold the panels together. Not every piece will require a bracket, maybe 3-4 on each side to hold the pieces tightly together.

3) The cabinet can also be screw together from the outside and you can counter sink the screws. Fill the screw holes with bog and sand flat. Decals can then be used to cover counter sunk screws. If you don't wish to apply decals and are happy with a white cabinet buy screws with white caps. Once the screws are in place put the cap on and you are done.

Our flat pack is a two-player counter top arcade machine with 6 buttons holes per player plus holes for the player 1 and 2 start buttons and 2 additional holes for credit buttons.

Screen:

The machine will fit a 22in screen, but you can use 20-22in if required.

The screen hole size is 503mm wide and 262mm high, but this piece of wood does not need to be used if you have a larger screen and wish to modify the cabinet a little. You can purchase a piece of perspex as you screen cover to fit a larger screen. The maximum size is 510mm by 310mm.

The machine is designed to be assembled easily. The screen can be installed and put in place still on its stand.

If you are good with your hands and wood, I would recommend removing the monitor stand and adding a bracket to mount the screen on. You just need a 58cm long piece of wood to mount the screen to inside the machine.

Video to come!

*Assemble does require a little work but it is not that hard. We feel it is VERY easy to assemble, but if you have very limited woodworking skills and no access to a file, rubber mallet, clamps and glue, it may not be for you. You will require a few simple tools to put the machine together. In my experience an IKEA flat pack is harder to assemble!

* Delivery prices:

Please Contact Austin Amusements for a delivery price or buy the flat pack and select 'pick up' as the shipping method. We will then get a quote for the deliver cost to your address and invoice you separately for the delivery price. Sydney delivery from $15, most other capital cities from $30-$40 for delivery.
