What is an Arcade Kit?

It's important to understand that the RetroShooter RS3 Reaper is not a finished arcade machine—it's a gun and game boardkit. This means you'll be doing the assembly, wiring and customization yourself. The kit provides the essential game board and gun components, but you'll need to either build your arcade cabinet from scratch or install the board into an existing arcade cabinet. This flexibility is perfect if you already own a JAMMA wired cabinet looking for a game board and gun upgrade kit, or if you want to create something completely custom.

About the Pandora Jamma Game Board

The heart of the RetroShooter RS3 Reaper kit is its Pandora Jamma Game Board. Jamma (Japanese Amusement Machine and Marketing Association) is the industry standard for arcade cabinets, meaning this board is compatible with traditional arcade setups. The Pandora board delivers classic arcade gameplay with reliable performance, making it an excellent choice for retro gaming fans who want authentic arcade action. Powered by Pandora Box software, the system is capable of supporting over 5,000 classic arcade and gun games. Game ROMs are not included and must be supplied separately by the user. There is however 17 original games from Pandora pre-installed,  including 4 gun games.

Building Your Own Cabinet

If you're starting from scratch, you'll need to design and construct your cabinet structure. This is where creativity comes in—you can build a traditional upright cabinet, a cocktail table style, or even a compact mini arcade. You'll also need to source your own display monitor, speakers, joysticks, buttons, and cabinet artwork. Installing Into an Existing Cabinet

If you already have an old arcade cabinet taking up space in your garage or basement, the Pandora Jamma board can breathe new life into it. Beyond the arcade kit itself and wood, plan for additional components: a compatible arcade VGA or HDMI monitor, purchased at computer stores online, quality joystick and button controls, speakers or audio amplification, a power supply, JAMMA harness and cabinet materials if you're building from scratch.
